Purpose of this position:
Psychiatric rehabilitation services (PRS-adult) incorporates principles of recovery and wellness, community support, person-centered care, and active involvement of individuals and families in the behavioral health system and services.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation promotes recovery, full community integration and improved quality of life for persons diagnosed with any mental health condition that seriously impairs their ability to lead meaningful lives.
Psychiatric rehabilitation services are collaborative, person-directed, and individualized.
These services are an essential element of the health care and human services spectrum and are evidence-based.
They focus on helping individuals develop skills and access resources needed to increase their capacity to be successful and satisfied in the living, working, learning, and social environments of their choice.
This position will supervisor program staff as well as work directly with individuals providing psychiatric Rehabilitation Services.
The goal of this work is to help individuals with serious and persistent mental health achieve self-sufficiency and recovery by personal empowerment.
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Specialist will report the Psych Rehab supervisor.
This position may require some travel work and supervision sessions occurring in the office and or community.

Qualifications:
A psychiatric rehabilitation Specialist/Supervisor shall have one of the following:
(1) A bachelor's degree and 2 years' work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be work experience in PRS CPRP certification shall be attained within 1 years from the date of hire as a psychiatric rehabilitation specialist (2) Experience working with adolescents preferred(3) Supervisory experience(4) CPRP certification is preferredMust pass Safe Crisis Management Training (physical and theory), upon hire and then annually as a condition of employment.
Other requirements include:
Driver's License FBI Act 73 Criminal history Act 33 Clearances Physical upon hire required Recommended Skills Mental Health Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
