R-14203Job SummaryFunctions as the liaison between the patient care units and the Department of Foodservices.
Coordinates information exchange related to patient meal service.
Assists with directing activities of the tray line and patient service program to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Foodservice functions.
Job DutiesReceives and processes information from patient service staff, production staff, diet office, fax, and/or phone related to patient meal service.
Coordinates the activities of the patient service staff to ensure meal selections are completed within established timeframes.
Coordinates dissemination of information from central diet office (tray tickets, tally reports, nourishment labels, and other required reports) and distributes this information to appropriate areas of the Foodservices Department.
Uses program software and diet order change information provided by the diet office to coordinate tray assembly to ensure patient trays are correct and sent timely according to established procedures.
Relieves Foodservice Workers within assigned area as needed to ensure the job is completed on time and meets standards.
This may include but is not limited to serving on the patient units, calling patients for meal selections, portioning or serving food and/or beverages on the patient tray line or completing other duties related to patient meal service.
Tracks floors stock sent to inpatient units and enters charges into the software program.
Answers phones, records messages on appropriate forms and processes information.
Works cooperatively with other personnel in a team effort to accomplish departmental objectives in accordance with hospital policy.
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
